Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in Karangasem and literally means “water from the Ganges.” This is a site of reverence for Hindu and Balinese and features tiered fountains, gardens, bathing pools and stone sculptures of mythical creatures. Surrounding Tirta Gangga are the lush rice paddies that characterize Bali.
